On days like this, cloudy with bouts of drizzling rain, it’s good to remember: winter isn’t coming. In fact, it’s fleeting.
While the forecast for this weekend is more of the same here in Madrid, these digital archives of Ibiza speak differently. Sun and spring (though in real island time it was fall).
In the meantime, I’m off to La Rioja. Why? Wine and pintxos (a northern Spain lexicon for tapas) abound! As the winner of the 2012 Gastronomic Capital of Spain, Logroño shouldn’t disappoint.
¡Un besito!
Another Ibiza:
Go during the off-season and experience another island. In early November the sea still enchants, but with more locals and less party animals. My other advice, get out! If I could do one thing differently, I’d rent a car and see more. The island begs to be driven. Just like I’m currently begging (internally) to return.

Thanks, I appreciate it!
Nice photos! November is probably a great time to go. I went in early May and it was just before the official party season opened up, so that was pretty good too.
Thanks for looking! Early May sounds perfect. If I had been braver, I would have dipped in the water, but in May there’s no problem of that!
